It’s finally time to print the cards. There are usually two options here:
1. Make a set of samples yourself at home.
Please refer video “how to print your own playing cards at home“.
Advantages: flexible and controllable, can quickly realize printing, no waiting period.
Disadvantage: Difficult to control quality. Need to purchase cutting, printing and other equipment. A high degree of human involvement is required.
Suitable for hobby production, small batch printing.
2. Cooperate with factory to proof and print batch products.
It can be divided into two steps:
- The first is the early docking design stage, please read the article “How To Print Your Playing Card Games In Factory“.
- For the official production stage, please refer the article “How Does The Factory Produce Playing Card Games“.
Advantages: Professional production equipment manufacturing, stable and exquisite printing quality.
Disadvantages: production and shipping cycle required, minimum order quantity.
Suitable for commercial sales and large-scale production.
3.Notes before printing.
- Note that do not invest too much in the initial equipment costs. I have a very good client. Before he got to know me, he planned to print cards at home. Spend a lot of money to buy printer machine, ink, paper, gloss vanish, cutting knife and so on. However, after the actual operation, it was found that there were problems in the alignment printing of the front and back, trimming margins, and paper performance. Quality is difficult to control. It is not recommended to purchase too much equipment for novices. If you are more interested in printing, you can consider looking for some good equipment in the flea market.
- Notes on working with Others. In particular, when your design artwork is to be disclosed to a third party (including the factorym, designer), remember to sign a non-disclosure agreement with them. A “Non-disclosure Agreement” template is for your reference.
